Will the recording of a home surveillance camera be proof of theft?

Article 93 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine gives the victim of a crime the right to independently collect evidence. Also, the code recognizes a video recording as one of the types of evidence (clause 2, article 99). So, you have the right to submit a record of theft to the court, but you need to do it correctly:

1. record the video on a CD;

2. hand over the disk with the recording to the police investigator who is conducting the pre-trial investigation;

3. to check that the investigator attaches the disc with the recording to the case file. After completing the pre-trial investigation, the investigator will send all collected materials to the court. The court will review each of the evidence provided to the investigators and give them an appropriate assessment.
