Copyright arises automatically on an original work if the object is fixed on a physical medium.

1st stage. Collection of documents and their submission to Ukrpatent.

Documents to be prepared:

1. statement;

2. source code;

3. instructions for using the computer program;

4. receipts for payment of the fee for preparation for registration (255 UAH for individuals and 510 UAH for companies), and state duty for issuing a certificate (8.50 UAH for individuals and 25.5 UAH for companies);

5. power of attorney, if documents are submitted by lawyers.

2nd stage. Review of the application.

The registration body reviews the documents within a month.

3rd stage. Entering information into the State Register of Certificates and issuing it.

You will receive the document within a month from the moment of registration. You can pick it up directly or get it by mail.

Another way to submit an application is through the Diya administrative services portal.

The process of preparation and registration of documents will take no more than 3 months.

The certificate protects the source code in the form in which you submitted it to Ukrpatent or another registration authority. Therefore, new documents must be obtained for new versions of the product.
