Can I not receive a passport due to my religious beliefs?
It is impossible not to get a passport at all. After all, a passport is a document that certifies a person and determines his citizenship.
But in Ukraine, it is stipulated that a passport in the form of a booklet (model of 1994) instead of an ID card can be obtained only for religious reasons and in accordance with a court decision. That is, you need to file a lawsuit in court to issue a passport of the specified model.
Citizens whose religious beliefs prevent them from entering information into a contactless electronic medium have the right to refuse to receive such a document or to enter data into the card. To do this, you need to submit an application to the relevant executive body — the State Migration Service department at your place of residence or to the Center for the Provision of Administrative Services.
