The procedure for assigning and paying state social assistance to orphans and children deprived of parental care, persons from among them, including those with disabilities, and financial support to foster parents and adoptive parents for the provision of social services in family-type orphanages and foster families on the principle of “money follows the child”, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 552 of June 26, 2019.

The grounds for terminating the payment of state social assistance and cash benefits are:

• the child reaches the age of 18, and in the case of studying at a general secondary education institution, full-time study at a vocational (vocational-technical), professional pre-higher and higher education institution - 23 years of age or graduation from the relevant educational institution;

• acquisition or granting of full civil capacity to the child (marriage registration, employment under an employment contract, registration as the child's mother or father, conducting entrepreneurial activities);

• placement of a child in an educational institution with full state support.
