Day of the savior

The Savior's Day is a holiday celebrated in Ukraine annually on September 17.

Established on September 12, 2008 by the decree of the President of Ukraine in support of the initiative of the public and the Ministry of Ukraine on emergency situations and in matters of protecting the population from the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster.

Workers and volunteers celebrate Savior's Day:

• emergency and rescue services,

• fire protection,

• other special formations, as well as citizens who contributed to the cause of liquidation of the consequences of man-made and natural emergencies, protection of life and health of people.
