Article 192 of the Family Code of Ukraine provides for the possibility of changing the previously established amount of alimony in the presence of grounds proven in a court of law, namely: changes in financial or family status, deterioration or improvement in the health of one of them, and in other cases provided for by this Code.
If alimony was established voluntarily, the parents must make appropriate changes to the notarized contract (a separate contract is concluded, which is signed by the parties and is subject to mandatory notarization).
If a mutual agreement between the parents is not reached regarding the change in the amount of alimony or if the payment of alimony is established by a court decision, then the change in the amount of alimony is possible only in court.
