Should a mobilized employee's sick leave be paid?

An employee exempted from the performance of his duties by position (profession) during the performance of state or public duties performed by him during working hours has no grounds for the appointment of temporary disability benefits as a payment that compensates for the loss of wages.

Such employees are paid financial support at the expense of the State Budget of Ukraine in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Social and Legal Protection of Servicemen and Members of Their Families" No. 2011-XII dated 20.12.1991.

For employees who undergo military service under conscription during mobilization, only the place of work and position at the enterprise, institution, or organization in which they worked at the time of conscription are kept for a special period (Part 3, Article 119 of the Labor Code).
