How to get compensation for a destroyed home?
Ukrainians who own real estate can apply for compensation; those who invested in construction; members of housing and construction cooperatives who bought an apartment, but did not register the right to own it. The heirs of the mentioned persons will also receive compensation.
An application for compensation is submitted to a special commission. This can be done during martial law and within 90 days after its end (in the territory where the real estate is located).
You can apply for compensation in several ways:
in electronic form through "Dia", selecting the service "Compensation for destroyed property" https://diia.gov.ua/services/kompensaciya-za-poshkodzhene-majno;
in paper form through the Center for the provision of administrative services (TsNAP);
in paper form through social security agencies or a notary public.
If the real estate is jointly owned, one of the co-owners can submit an application.
In the application for compensation, data on the damaged or destroyed real estate object (area, location), information about the applicant must be specified.
If the recipient of the compensation carried out an assessment of the value of the damaged real estate, the registration number of the assessment report must be added. The same applies to the report on the possibility or impossibility of real estate restoration.
Documents confirming ownership of real estate must be attached to the application; about investing in construction; about membership in a housing and construction cooperative; on the death of the owner, if the application is submitted by the heirs; on the priority right to receive compensation.
In order to use the housing certificate, after choosing housing, you need to submit another application. It contains information about the housing that a person plans to purchase (address, area, number of rooms), the price previously agreed with its owner, housing certificate data (number and date, amount of compensation) and contact information (phone number, postal address, e-mail address ).
This can be done through "Diya", TsNAP, social protection bodies or a notary public.
