Inheritance is the transfer of rights and obligations (inheritance) from a natural person who died (testator) to other persons (heirs) (Article 1216 of the Civil Code of Ukraine). Ownership of a plot of land passes to the heirs on general grounds, with preservation of its purpose (part one of Article 1225 of the Civil Code of Ukraine).
