You can apply for the payment of the pension of the deceased pensioner within six months from the day of the opening of the inheritance.

If the pension was credited to a bank account, the bank is obliged to stop crediting funds from the month following the month of the recipient's death.

If the pensioner died after the pension was credited to the bank account, there are no legal grounds for returning the credited funds. Money can be received by inheriting a bank deposit.

What documents are required:

  • Document proving the identity of the applicant.

  • Death certificate of a deceased relative.

  • Documents confirming family relationships: passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate, family composition certificate or court decision.

  • Documents confirming residence with the pensioner on the day of his death: passport, certificates from authorized bodies from the place of residence, including local self-government bodies, or other documents.

  • Application for payment of unreceived pension to the Pension Fund.

  • After 6 months from the date of the pensioner's death, a certificate of the right to inheritance, drawn up by a notary, is attached.

In case of application by several family members, the amount of pension is divided equally between them.
