How to get a death certificate?

To begin with, the death must be registered in the civil status registration authorities at the last place of residence of the deceased or at the place of death or at the place of burial. The application for state registration of death shall be submitted no later than three days after the date of death or discovery of the corpse, and if it is not possible to obtain a document from a health care institution or a forensic medical institution, no later than five days. In wartime conditions, citizens can apply for registration at any body of the DRATS.

After recording, the civil status registration authority issues the applicant a death certificate and a certificate for receiving burial assistance.
