Recognition of those missing during the war

Since many people are currently missing in action due to the war, I want to understand what legal possibilities there are for their relatives or loved ones to obtain official status for such a person? Have any new laws been adopted that have made it easier to issue documents or resolve related issues (for example, receiving pensions, inheritance, resolving family matters)? I am really interested in what needs to be done in practice now if my relative disappeared during hostilities, and I want to officially recognize this circumstance.
