Management of a share in an LLC after the death of a member

I don't fully understand how the issue of managing a share in an LLC is resolved if a member dies, and the heirs have not yet been determined or have not submitted an application to accept the inheritance. Who can make decisions regarding this share and have access to corporate rights during this period? What are my options if I am an heir but was not permanently registered with the deceased and have not yet submitted an application to a notary?
