#dismissal of a judge

As I understand it, when a judge resigns, his status changes. Does this mean that he can no longer be held accountable for actions committed while serving as a judge? Can his status be reviewed if new circumstances arise after his dismissal?

I want to know whether a Supreme Court judge has the right to resign at his own request after reaching retirement age?
