How to find your children abroad who were taken away by their father?

1) Contact the State Border Service and ask with which documents the children crossed the border. You can leave an appeal in electronic format here https://dpsu.gov.ua/ua/handling. Attach a copy of your passport and children's birth certificate to your application. If your children have activated the location feature on their phone, contact your mobile operator.

2) Submit an application to the Ministry of Justice:

• On the return of children;

• On ensuring the implementation of the right of access to children located in the territory of another country. You can apply with two applications at the same time. In accordance with the procedure for implementing the Convention on Civil Legal Aspects of International Child Abduction, the Ministry of Justice is responsible for assisting in the return of children taken abroad without the consent of one of the parents.

After receiving the application, the Ministry of Justice turns to the authorized bodies of Ukraine and other states with a request for help in identifying the whereabouts of the minor (children) and facilitating their voluntary return to their homeland.
