I lost my diploma of higher education. Can it be restored?

If the educational institution that issued the diploma no longer exists, the application for renewing the diploma together with a package of documents (a copy of the diploma and an appendix) must be sent by mail to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine at the address: 01135, Kyiv, Peremogy prospect, 10, or electronically mail: ez@mon.gov.ua. After receiving the letter, the Ministry of Education and Culture will determine the higher educational institution that will deal with the restoration of the lost diploma. The information in the duplicate will be reproduced on the basis of data from the Unified State Electronic Database on Education (UEDEBO), which has been formed since 2000.

If the diploma was issued before the year 2000 or information about it is not available in the database, then the higher education institution can use its copy, an archival certificate of education or an extract from the journal of document issuance for confirmation.

If there is no information about the issuance of a diploma in the EDEBO and the archives are not available, you need to contact the court. Any evidence can be used for this. For example, copies of education documents or records in the work book.
