How is the amount of child benefits determined?

There are the following types of Child Benefit:

• payments upon the birth of a child,

• assistance to large families,

• state alimony,

• assistance to single mothers,

• cash payments to orphans,

• assistance to children with disabilities.

Payments upon the birth of a child

Payments upon the birth of a child in 2023 amount to UAH 41,280. Payment is made as follows:

• UAH 10,320 - immediately;

• UAH 860/month - for 36 months.

Assistance in connection with pregnancy and childbirth

The amount of assistance in connection with pregnancy and childbirth is as follows:

• general – 100% of the average monthly income of a woman calculated per month;

• the minimum amount is 25% of the subsistence minimum for an able-bodied person per month.

Payments for children in 2023 to single mothers

• Children under 6 years old - UAH 2,272.00.

• Children aged 6 to 18 - UAH 2,833.00.

• Children aged 18 to 23 (if studying at a hospital) - UAH 2,684.00.

Payments to guardians 2023

• For children under the age of 6, UAH 5,680.00.

• For children under the age of 6, a child with a disability - UAH 7,952.00.

• Children aged 6 to 18 - UAH 7,082.50.

• For children aged 6 to 18, a child with a disability - UAH 9,915.50.

Payments for a child with a disability 2023

State social assistance is awarded in the following amounts:

• persons with disabilities from childhood of the 1st group — 100% of the subsistence minimum for persons who have lost their ability to work: from January 1, 2023 — UAH 2,093.00;

• persons with disabilities since childhood of the II group — 80% of the subsistence minimum for persons who have lost their ability to work: from January 1, 2023 — UAH 1,674.40;

• persons with disabilities of the III group — 60% of the subsistence minimum for persons who have lost their ability to work: from January 1, 2023 — UAH 1,255.80;

• children with disabilities under the age of 18 — 70% of the subsistence minimum for persons who have lost their ability to work: from January 1, 2023 — UAH 1,674.40.
