Education documents were burned. What shall I do?

Educational documents are available in the Diya application. To do this, you need to update the application and they will be downloaded automatically if they are in the Unified State Electronic Database on Education.

Documents about school education: In order to restore such a document, it is necessary to apply to any general educational institution in the territory under the control of the government of Ukraine, at the location of the graduate or his legal representative.

It is necessary to apply with an application and a document on the results of the annual assessment of the graduate's educational achievements. It can be an extract from a personal file, a report card with grades, a document about the appropriate level of general secondary education, including from other countries. If a person does not have any of these documents, he must still apply to any general education institution. The institution will evaluate the educational achievements of such a graduate within three working days from the date of submission of the application.

Documents on professional, technical, professional pre-university, higher education: Obtaining a duplicate of the documents depends on whether the information is available in the EDEBO (Single Electronic Database on Education). This can be checked independently and free of charge in the register (https://info.edbo.gov.ua/edu-documents/). But if you have an education document issued before 2000, it will definitely not be in EDEB. So, if the information is available in the EDEBO, there are several options for restoring the document:

• If the educational institution has been moved or there is its legal successor, we contact such an institution.

• If the institution has not been moved and there is no legal successor, contact the Ministry of Education and Culture by mail: 01135, Prospekt Beresteyskyi, 10 or by e-mail ez@mon.gov.ua

In both cases, it is necessary to apply with an application, in which it should be noted:

• Full name, date of birth;

• series and number of the document certifying identity and citizenship;

• place of residence, phone number;

• the name of the higher education institution and the date of its completion;

• the name of the document, a duplicate of which is ordered;

• reason for ordering a duplicate;

• other information that you consider important;

• consent to the processing of personal data.

If you need to restore an education document that was obtained in the territory under the control of the government of Ukraine, you need to apply in person or through a legal representative to the institution from which you graduated.
