In order to be able to apply for a residence permit in Sweden with protection under the Temporary Protection Directive, you must be in Sweden. You can register your application online or visit the office of the Swedish Migration Agency in person. If you apply online and have arranged your stay yourself, you do not need to visit the Swedish Migration Agency until a decision has been made. Those who need help with housing must visit the office in person, but for this, an application must be submitted in the electronic system before visiting the office.
If you have no money of your own, you may be entitled to financial support from the Migration Board when you apply for a residence permit under the Temporary Protection Directive. If you need financial support, you must visit the Migration Office in person or send a signed application form by mail.
