How to determine the child's place of residence?

According to Article 160 of the Family Code of Ukraine, the place of residence of a minor child is determined with the consent of the parents, if the child is under 10 years old. If the child is between 10 and 14 years old, he, together with his parents, participates in making decisions about his place of residence. If the mother and father, who live separately, have not reached an agreement about which of them the minor child will live with, the dispute between them can be resolved by the guardianship authority. To resolve the dispute, the body of guardianship and guardianship must contact the district state administration, the executive body of the city, district in cities, village, settlement council. The local guardianship authority, which will schedule a commission meeting, will summon both parents, hold conversations with them, assess other circumstances and make an appropriate decision.
