What is the pension of policemen?

Clause "a" of Article 13 of the Law of Ukraine "On pension provision for persons released from military service and certain other persons" provides that pensions for years of service to the above-mentioned categories of persons who have 20 years of service or more (clause "a" of the article 12), are prescribed in the following amounts:

• for 20 years of service – 50% of the corresponding amounts of financial support;

• persons dismissed due to age or health. Dismissed from police service on the basis of clauses 2, 3 of the first part of Article 77 of the Law of Ukraine "On the National Police" - 55% of the corresponding amounts of financial support (Article 43);

• for each year of service over 20 years - 3% of the corresponding amounts of financial support.

The law provides that the maximum amount of the pension should not exceed 70% of the corresponding amounts of monetary support (Article 43), and persons who, during their service, took part in the liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the Chornobyl NPP and belong to category 1 in accordance with the procedure defined by the law, - 100 %, to category 2, - 95%.
