The power of attorney for a gift must include the following: full details of the person to whom the gift is made, as well as the gift itself. If the name of the donee is not indicated in the power of attorney for concluding the donation agreement, it will not be considered valid.

The power of attorney issued by the owner to dispose of real estate can be valid for one or two months depending on the situation:

• valid for one month, if issued by a foreign notary;

• is valid for two months, if issued at a Ukrainian consulate abroad.

Also, the power of attorney can have a shorter term if it is indicated in the document. It is also possible to extend the validity period of the power of attorney - with the help of a notarial application. If you draw up an application at a foreign notary, the extension can be for a maximum of 7 days, and if at the Ukrainian consulate, then for a month.
