The procedure for establishing and extending disability has been greatly simplified during the period of martial law. In particular, if a person needs to undergo a re-examination during the period of martial law, but is unable to do so, it is possible to undergo an examination later - within six months after the termination/revocation of martial law. The validity period of the previous certificate and all social benefits related to it are extended for this entire period.
If there is no information in the Pension Fund of Ukraine or structural subdivisions for social protection of the population about a change or refusal to extend disability, it is considered that this disability continues for the entire period of martial law and for another six months after its cancellation or termination (CMU resolution No. 225 from March 8, 2022). All social benefits are kept for the person. Additional documents or other entries in the existing references are not required.
