In the event that the parents did not reach an agreement on the procedure for participation in the upbringing of the child of the parent who lives separately from her, at the request of the child's mother or father, the guardianship authority determines the methods of participation in the upbringing of the child and communication with the parent who lives separately from her (Article 158 of the Family Code of Ukraine). The decision on this is made by the guardianship authority based on the study of the parents' living conditions, their attitude towards the child, and other significant circumstances.
