Can I resign now after the end of my contract in the border service?

In connection with the expiration of the contract from the moment of the introduction of martial law, dismissal is not possible. Accordingly, the contract cannot be terminated (terminated) on this basis. A military serviceman cannot be released from military service before the announcement of demobilization by order of the President of Ukraine.

During martial law, military personnel may resign on the following grounds:

1) according to the state of health - on the basis of the conclusion (resolution) of the military medical commission on unfitness for military service with exclusion from military registration or on unfitness for military service with review after 6-12 months;

2) due to reaching the maximum age of service;

3) in connection with the entry into legal force of a guilty verdict of the court, which has imposed punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty, restriction of liberty or deprivation of a military rank;

4) due to family circumstances;
