The status of a mother of many children is given automatically, do you need to apply somewhere?

Only the status of a large family is provided - a family in which a spouse (man and woman) is in a registered marriage, lives together and raises three or more children. Or one father or mother who lives together with three or more children and raises them independently.

To obtain this status, it is necessary to apply to the structural subdivisions for social protection of the population of the district, district state administrations, executive bodies of city councils of cities of regional significance, rural settlements, city councils of united territorial communities or to the National Center for Social Security. The applicant can apply for the service in person or through a legal representative, by sending documents by mail (registered mail) or by e-mail.

Documents that must be provided to receive the service:

1. Application of one of the parents to issue a certificate of parents of a large family and a certificate of a child from a large family, according to the form approved by the Ministry of Social Policy

2. Photo card (color or black and white) measuring 30 × 40 millimeters

3. Documents confirming the fact of raising a child by one of the parents (in case of remarriage registration and living with children from a previous marriage)

4. A copy of a certificate from an educational institution or a child's birth certificate (in the case of a child's birth or a person aged 18 to 23 studying full-time outside of Ukraine)

5. A certificate confirming enrollment in an educational institution or transferring to the next course of study within the relevant training program (in the case of extending the validity period of the certificate, if the child is studying full-time in a general secondary, vocational (vocational-technical), vocational pre-university institution , higher education)

6. Copy of the child's birth certificate

7. Copy of marriage certificate (except for unmarried parents)

8. Copies of the pages of the passport of the citizen of Ukraine of the parents with data on the surname, first name, patronymic (if available), date of passport issue

9. A copy of the permanent residence permit of the parents, if they are foreigners or stateless persons who are in Ukraine legally
