How to confirm divorce after court

I understand that a court decision on divorce is final and sent to the Civil Registry Office, but how do I then obtain official confirmation of the divorce for further matters? Is a separate document required, or is an extract from the State Register of Civil Status Acts sufficient, and where exactly can I obtain it?
