What is the liability for shooting during a conflict

22.04.2026 08:16 • Question

I read the news about an incident in Kyiv where a driver, during an argument with a pedestrian, pulled out a rubber bullet gun and injured a person. He is already suspected of hooliganism involving the use of an object to inflict bodily harm, and this could lead to up to seven years. I'm wondering: if a person uses such a weapon or device during a road conflict, is it always classified as hooliganism, or could there be another article? And what kind of liability actually occurs in such cases – are real sentences given, or can it be limited to a suspended sentence?
