The birth of a child can only be registered at the consulate. It is there that their origin is determined and their surname, first name, and patronymic are assigned.The application for registration must be submitted immediately, but no later than one month from the date of the child's birth, and in the case of a stillborn child – no later than three days.What is needed for registration?1. A document from a medical institution about the child's birth, passports identifying the parents (parents);2. An application (written or oral) to enter information about the father.Registration is free of charge, and upon its completion, parents are issued a birth certificate.A person whose parents or one of whose parents were citizens of Ukraine at the time of their birth is a citizen of Ukraine. The child's place of birth does not affect their ability to acquire Ukrainian citizenship.
