Defamation lawsuits against media

I read news that Donald Trump filed a lawsuit in a US federal court against the BBC for editing his speech in a film, calling it defamation. I am interested whether a similar situation with the media is possible here – if a channel or website in Ukraine edits my public speech in such a way that it looks untrue, can I sue for libel here and win the case? How, in principle, can one protect themselves from the unreliable dissemination of information in Ukrainian media?
