What to do if documents in a divorce case go missing

16.12.2025 09:05 • Question

Having read this story, I wondered: if I file a lawsuit with the court and then it turns out that some documents (for example, a warrant or power of attorney) went missing somewhere along the way or in the court itself, should judges immediately dismiss my lawsuit without consideration? Are they obliged to first give me time to submit these documents or rectify the situation if some papers were not attached to the case through no fault of mine? I'm just worried that I might end up in a similar red tape due to bureaucracy or the court's organizational errors.
