Are elections possible during wartime?

I read that President Zelenskyy says elections can only be held after a ceasefire and with proper security infrastructure in place, and also that currently only 75% of polling stations are functioning due to the war. But do laws generally allow elections to be held if martial law is in effect in the country and not all polling stations are open? And if elections are suddenly called, will the results of such elections be considered legitimate?
