Can I become a Private Entrepreneur (FOP) under the simplified taxation system?

I am considering starting my own business and want to operate as a Private Entrepreneur (FOP) under the simplified taxation system. I am interested in what are the main requirements and restrictions for choosing the first, second, or third group of single tax, and in what cases such activities might be prohibited for me? I don't quite understand if I can engage in various types of services and which group to choose if I plan to hire employees, as well as how income limits are determined.

For FOP, the simplified taxation system is a special regime designed for small and medium-sized businesses. It allows entrepreneurs to reduce their tax burden and simplify reporting. This system involves paying a single tax, the rate of which depends on the group to which the FOP belongs. Main advantages of this system: * simple reporting: FOP submit a declaration once a quarter or once a year, depending on the group; fixed rates: the tax can be a fixed amount or a percentage of income; minimal time costs: Individual entrepreneurs under different taxation systems have different obligations. Let's look at them in more detail:Simplified system: * payment of a single tax depending on the group; payment of a single social contribution (ESV); submission of a declaration once a quarter or year; no need to maintain complex accounting records, which allows focusing on business development.FOP on a single tax (except for the first group) can hire employees. FOP in the second group has a limit of up to 10 employees. The third group of single tax and FOP on the general system can hire an unlimited number of employees. The income limit is set based on the minimum wage established on January 1 of the current year and does not change during the year (even if the minimum wage changes) and in 2025 is:1. for Group 1 - UAH 1,336,000 (167 minimum wages);2. for Group 2 - UAH 6,672,000 (834 minimum wages);3. for Group 3 - UAH 9,336,000 (1167 minimum wages).
