Liability for incorrect first aid in case of hypothermia
I am not a medic, but in winter, due to the cold, one can often witness or even get into a situation where first aid needs to be provided to a person with hypothermia. If I try to help a person with such symptoms, but suddenly do something wrong (for example, do not follow official advice from the Ministry of Health or miss something), does an ordinary person bear any responsibility for this? I am interested in whether there can later be claims, or even a fine or criminal liability, if my actions did not help or worsened the condition of the injured person?
