Updating the address with the tax authority after street renaming

My store is located on a street that was recently renamed. The title documents still bear the old name. Is it mandatory for me to change the address data with the tax authority and re-register my RRO or PRRO now, if I haven't yet managed to change the address in the lease agreement or other documents? What will happen if this is not done on time?

In case of renaming a city or street, businesses must reregister RRO and PRRO so that the data in fiscal receipts matches official documents. According to current legislation, the name and address of the business unit are mandatory details in a fiscal receipt. Therefore, the information in the documents must fully coincide with the data specified in the application form No. 20-OPP. It is necessary to submit application No. 20-OPP to the tax authority with the mark "3 – change of information about the object of taxation", indicating updated data on the address of the business unit. Next, submit application No. 1-RRO or No. 1-PRRO with the mark "Reregistration" to amend the data regarding the location of the object. Such changes are mandatory because they affect the correctness of fiscal receipt generation and must comply with title documents. Discrepancy in data may lead to fines or problems during inspections.
