Right to assistance for uninsured pregnant women

I am not officially employed and am not insured by the social insurance fund, but I am expecting a child. Can I expect maternity benefits in 2026, what will be their amount, and what documents do I need to submit to receive them?

Pregnant women (including minors) who are not insured in the system of compulsory state social insurance are entitled to state assistance in connection with pregnancy and childbirth. Documents required to receive the service: 1. Application in the form approved by the Order of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine dated January 09, 2023 No. 3 "On Approval of the Application Form for the Appointment of All Types of Social Assistance and Compensation", registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on January 23, 2023 under No. 145/39201. 2. Information on the classification of the woman as belonging to categories 1–4 of persons affected by the Chornobyl disaster (if available). 3. Certificate: from the place of study – stating that the woman is studying; from the liquidation commission – stating that the woman was dismissed from work due to the liquidation of an enterprise, institution, and organization; from the employment center – stating that the woman is registered at the employment center as unemployed. 4. Information about the record number in the Register of Medical Conclusions in the electronic healthcare system regarding the formed medical conclusion on temporary incapacity for work of the category "Pregnancy and childbirth"; 5. Persons who adopted or took custody of a child within two months from the date of its birth submit a decision on adoption or establishment of guardianship. Persons entitled to receive the service: Pregnant women (including minors) who are not insured in the system of compulsory state social insurance, namely: * women dismissed from work due to the liquidation of an enterprise, institution, and organization, regardless of the form of ownership, provided that the pregnant woman was dismissed from work no earlier than six months before acquiring the right to receive assistance; * women registered as unemployed; * postgraduate students, doctoral students, clinical residents, students of vocational (vocational-technical), professional pre-higher, and higher education institutions; * non-working women; * women registered as business entities who do not participate in the system of compulsory state social insurance.
