Abolition of EDRPOU and business rights

I read that the government plans to abolish EDRPOU and switch to some new unified registration system for all legal entities. I run a business and I'm worried: what does this mean for people like me? Will we need to carry out any additional procedures, submit documents, or re-register the enterprise due to this transition? How can I find out so as not to miss important changes and not get a fine due to some formality?

No action is required from businesses. All details and possible requirements for business entities (if any are foreseen) will be clearly regulated by amendments to the law. This direction includes the legal and organizational termination of the functioning of the YeDRPOU. For this purpose: by Q2 2026, Derzhstat and Mintsifra must prepare a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers on recognizing as invalid the government resolution of January 22, 1996, No. 118, which established the YeDRPOU; after that, the transfer of registry data to the National Archival Fund must be ensured in accordance with relevant legislation; in parallel, Derzhstat will develop and submit normative acts regarding the cancellation of its own orders that regulated the procedure for accessing YeDRPOU data. This refers to the following documents: Order of the State Statistics Committee of November 28, 2005, No. 386 “On Approval of the Regulations on the Procedure and Conditions for Using Data from the Unified State Register of Enterprises and Organizations of Ukraine”; Order of the State Statistics Service of July 25, 2022, No. 209 “On Approval of the Cost of Using Data from the Unified State Register of Enterprises and Organizations of Ukraine”.
