Criminal liability for a fake driver's license

Please tell me, if I accidentally bought a driver's license online, thinking everything was official, and then it turned out to be fake, what could be the consequences for me? Can I be held criminally liable if I use such a license, even if I didn't know it wasn't genuine? And is there any difference if I immediately contact a service center and report the situation?
