What happens if a pensioner does not undergo identification

I receive a pension, but I am currently abroad and have read that I need to undergo identification through the PFU electronic cabinet by December 31. What will happen if I cannot do this on time? Can payments really be stopped, and is there any way to resume the pension later if this deadline is missed?
