Is it allowed to hold elections during a war?

I heard that President Zelensky spoke about the possibility of holding elections, but only if there is a complete ceasefire for the duration of the electoral process. However, currently, due to the war, not all polling stations are operational, and the Central Election Commission says there are infrastructure problems. I am wondering if it is generally legally possible to organize elections during martial law and hostilities, or if it is prohibited? How does this affect my right to vote and the legal status of elections in such a situation?
