Is it mandatory to receive a paper pension certificate?

I learned that it is now possible to get an electronic pension certificate through the Diia application. Please tell me, can I use only an electronic pension certificate and not receive a paper one? Will the e-certificate be sufficient, for example, to confirm the status of a pensioner in various institutions, or might there be a situation where a paper document is still needed?
