Education for the position of occupational safety engineer

I have a bachelor's degree in a relevant specialty and several years of practical experience in the field of occupational safety. Can my employer officially hire me as an occupational safety engineer if the formal requirements for education in the Directory are higher? What documents or proof of experience should I provide if my candidacy is considered an exception?
