Can elections be held during martial law?

I see that due to the war in Ukraine, only 75% of polling stations are operational, and the Central Election Commission states that at least six months of preparation are needed to organize fair elections. However, the authorities are still considering the possibility of holding elections during martial law. It is not entirely clear to me whether it is generally permitted by law to hold elections while the war is ongoing, and if so, will such elections be considered legitimate in Ukraine and abroad?
