Revocation of driver's license for leaving the scene of an accident

I read that in Mykolaiv, a driver was deprived of his right to drive for 2 years for leaving the scene of an accident after colliding with another car. He said he was in a hurry, but the court ruled that it was intentional. Please tell me, is a driver's license always revoked for such a violation, or can it be limited to just a fine? And does it matter if a person claims they did not notice the collision?

Leaving the scene of a road traffic accident is punishable by a fine of 3,400 Hryvnia. Another form of punishment is a ban on driving vehicles for a period of 6 to 12 months. Administrative arrest for a period of 10-15 days is also possible. It is important to note that such penalties apply only in cases where there are no casualties as a result of the accident and the driver's actions do not endanger the lives of other road users. Responsibility for leaving the scene of a road traffic accident is regulated by the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine, specifically Article 122-4, under which a protocol for such an offense is drawn up.
