Road accident in Poland: rights of Ukrainian passengers

I read news about an accident in Poland involving a bus with Ukrainian citizens. Fortunately, none of the passengers were injured, but the situation made me wonder: if I, as a Ukrainian woman, travel by bus abroad and a similar road accident occurs (even without injuries), what compensation or assistance can I expect? Whom should I contact – the carrier, insurance company, or our consulate, and what documents are needed for this?
