Can court decisions regarding road accidents be trusted?

I saw an article where two different courts evaluated the same road accident in Kyiv differently, resulting in opposing decisions. This concerns me because it seems that even with identical evidence, a court can issue completely different rulings. I would like to know if there are any rules or guarantees that ensure decisions in similar cases are fair and consistent, and if such a situation can be appealed in any way? I am interested in how an ordinary citizen can understand if the outcome will be fair.
