Security Guarantees for Ukraine After Negotiations

I read that during meetings with the leaders of France, Germany, and Britain, the issue of guaranteeing security for Ukraine and signing a long-term peace agreement is being discussed. I am concerned about how effectively these international guarantees can actually protect Ukraine from further attacks by Russia. Do such agreements have binding legal force for other countries, and can I, as an ordinary citizen, be sure that my rights to life and security will be protected by these guarantees?
