Return of a serviceman to service after treatment

If I am serving and after an injury or illness underwent treatment or rehabilitation, do they have the right to return me to my military unit without the conclusion of a military medical commission? And if I do not agree with such a conclusion from the Military Medical Commission regarding my fitness, how can I appeal it?
