Limitation of compensation for delayed settlement

I worked at a company and was dismissed before July 19, 2022, but I was paid only after this date. Now I see that the Supreme Court has ruled that compensation for delayed settlement can be limited to only six months. Does this mean I will only be paid for six months, even if the settlement was delayed for a longer period, and how are these months correctly calculated in my situation?
