Judge's liability for bribery

I am reading the news about a judge who was caught taking a bribe and was allowed to be detained by the High Council of Justice. I am wondering what the consequences might be for a judge in a similar situation? Does this mean automatic removal from office and possible deprivation of judicial status, or does there have to be a court conviction first?
